Tweddle Engineering has been established for over thirty years and is situated near Wigton, Cumbria. We design, manufacture and install bespoke plant and equipment from a covered workshop of over 4700m² situated on a 5 acre site. Tweddle Engineering is ISO 9001 certified.

Material Handling Conveyors, Specialist Trailers, Pressure Vessels and Structural Steelwork are some of the works we undertake. Fully trained site teams carry out all installation works, site maintenance, service and repair. Welding to approved procedures in MIG, TIG and Sub-arc can be offered.

Tweddle Engineering provides design and engineering services to a wide range of clients based in the UK. We can offer a comprehensive range of solutions to suit you requirements, whether providing full product development, additional resource during the design and development cycle or provide expertise in areas that you need occasionally.

Once an order is placed we can take full control over all aspects of design, planning, manufacture, delivery & Installation. All technical information, certification and test results will be held on record indefinitely. When required a fully inclusive technical file will be produced and maintained.

Manufacture, Installation & Factory Maintenance

We have the capability and the capacity to build full ‘mock ups’ of the processes required to carry out specialist tasks that may be required in a challenging environment. Having already established reliable working relationships with numerous Tier 2 suppliers within the Nuclear Industry we pride ourselves on supplying our customers only the highest quality products. Key to this is setting up internal processes that ensure that every stage of the purchasing, design, manufacturing and supply cycle has been set out to reach measured quality assurance goals. Our Quality system has been designed to meet the requirements of ISO:9001 2015. This certification is audited and approved by BSI.

Welding

All our employees hold qualifications in Fabrication & Welding. We also employ apprentices on a regular basis who attend Gen II Engineering & Technology Ltd and Carlisle Technical College to help gain relevant qualifications.

We can offer welding in MIG, TIG, MMA & SAW to approved procedures by certified employees. Coded welding to BS EN287 – BS EN ISO 15614

Materials welded include Mild Steel, Boiler Plate, 304/316 Stainless Steel & Aluminium.
