We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic Design Engineer looking to progress their career with our busy and friendly team.

About this Job

The Design Engineer will be a member of a highly-skilled multi-disciplinary team with a diverse range of engineering experience. This role would suit candidates with 3+ years’ experience in design engineering looking for a fresh challenge. The role is offered on a permanent basis and offers a fantastic opportunity for the right person. We are seeking a team player with a creative flair and keen eye for detail. This is an office-based role with the possibility of site visits.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing bespoke solutions to customer requirements
• Collaboration with Project, Purchasing and Production teams to deliver the solution
• Providing detailed general arrangements, layouts and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks
• Liaising with customers throughout the design, manufacture and installation of the project
• Dealing with multiple projects at any one time

About You
Suitable candidates will satisfy the following:

• 3 years+ experience of using SolidWorks in the workplace
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Familiar with a range of manufacturing techniques
• Ability to develop a product from concept through to completion

As we are based at Kirkbride, Cumbria it is a necessity that you have your own transport due to the location.

Timber Treatment Plant Leaves For Belgium

It was a busy day yesterday at Tweddle Engineering as a Compact Timber Treatment Plant left our Kirkbride workshop for Belgium.

The vessel is 20m long and weighs 22 tonnes. The tank is 23.5m long and 15 tonnes.
